#MorningWord 230 Discipling your child

Published on September 27, 2017

Welcome to #MorningWord

Scripture Inspiration: Deuteronomy 21:18-21

Question of the Morning: Are you disciplining your children

God takes a stern view of not letting children become rebellious in their ways. God wanted children who became rebellious to be disciplined and not to go unchecked. Today children have ASBO (anti-social behaviour orders), there are numerous TV programs about children who are unruly or become hardened criminals. This is not God desire for children. God loves and adores his children and expects all parents to be the same, because of that love God expects that love will drive discipline. Easy to think giving children everything they want or even not punishing bad behaviour this is love. In God’s eyes, this is the opposite to love when turning a blind eye to bad behaviour –

Lesson for the Day: A true show of love towards your children is not letting them do whatever they want. True love stamps out rebellious behaviour that can lead to destruction.

Action for the Day: Discipline rebellious behaviour

“Remember God gift to us is life what we do with that life is our gift back to God”
